- Big squares. Between .61 and .73 inches on paper, far roomier than a typical newspaper crossword.
- Large clues. Every clue is printed at 18 point in a plain, high-contrast font, and shows the number of letters.
- Plain definitions. No puns, no obscure words: “Big bird roasted for the holiday dinner” is TURKEY.
- Puzzle book layout. Grid on page one, clues on page two. Print both and lay them side by side, so nothing is squeezed.

Will they print well on a home printer?
Yes. They are sized for US Letter paper with thick black lines and no background color, so they print clearly in black and white.
