Which level should I pick?
Easy is a 10 × 10 grid with 10 words that run only across and down, a good fit for grades 2–3 or a quick warm-up. Medium uses a 13 × 13 grid with 15 words and adds diagonals, about right for grades 4–6. Hard is a 15 × 15 grid with 20 words hidden in all eight directions, including backwards, which keeps older students and adults busy.
Teachers often print the same theme at two levels so the whole class can work on one topic at their own pace. Every PDF is one page plus an answer key, sized for US Letter paper.
