About this crossword
A winter crossword about snow days, mittens and hot cocoa, with no holiday words, so it works from December through February.
The puzzle has 14 clues on a 13×13 grid. The PDF prints the puzzle and clues on page one and the filled-in answer key on page two. For younger solvers, the “Easier PDF” adds a word bank so kids can match each answer to its clue.
Did you know?
- Snowflakes almost always form six-sided shapes, because of the way water molecules freeze.
- Emperor penguin fathers balance the egg on their feet through the Antarctic winter.
